Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky
Paris, 1913. Coco Chanel is absorbed in her work and has fallen hopelessly in love with Arthur 'Boy' Capel. At the Champs-Élysees theatre in Paris, the premiere of Stravinsky's 'Rite of Spring' takes place. Coco is present and impressed by the composer's work. However, the performed revolutionairy masterpiece seems to be too modern and radical, provoking the audience to be insulted and angry. Stravinsky is left disheartened.
Seven years later, Coco Chanel has become wealthy, respected and successful, but is mourning the death of her 'Boy'. She meets Stravinsky, who has become a poor refugee living in Paris – having been banished by the Russian revoluationairies. Immediately a great sense of attraction can be felt. Coco offers the Stravinsky family to move into her villa in Garches. Being poor, this is something they cannot refuse. Stravinsky can continue his work and simultaeneously, an intense relationship develops between the two artistic geniuses.
