Renting Cinema

De Uitkijk is the oldest art house theatre in the Netherlands, set up by a group of dedicated cinephiles in 1929 and located in the heart of Amsterdam on one of the famous Canals. This unique theatre has recently been renovated in order to create a stunning return to the style of the 1920s. The theatre holds 86 comfortable seats, 24 of which are located on a cosy balcony, which also boasts small tables, table lamps and a service bell. Dream away in the romantic, rich atmosphere that De Uitkijk has to offer.

Our film theatre and foyer are also for rent; for screenings such as a private party with friends, a work outing or a press showing. Because of its stage, the theatre is also very suitable for presentations, debates, symposia and workshops. We have a bar in our foyer and we can also provide catering.

Technical Details

Our cinema is ready to cater to your every need when it comes to rentals. It is equipped with a state of the art beamer (Panasonic 1.4K) and two 35 mm-projectors. We can thus screen materials on 35 mm, DVD and HD, as well as additional formats (such as Beta SP or HD-cam). Our cinema is also suited to beam presentations and has facilities to connect several microphones. It is therefore highly suited for presentations or discussions.
